Building Community at the Weaverville Art Safari

This past weekend, WNC Artist Market hit the road and joined the Weaverville Art Safari — one of Western North Carolina’s best celebrations of local artists and craftspeople. It was a great chance to meet artists face-to-face, share the story of the Market, and invite more incredible talent into our growing community.

We handed out cards and flyers all day, and had the pleasure of meeting some truly outstanding creators. Carol Eder-Smith at The had some beautiful jewelry pieces, full of texture and life. Photographer Paul Christopher showed his nostalgic Asheville prints on glass — the kind of work that stops you in your tracks. JL Merrill’s metalworks were another standout, blending strength and grace in every piece.

If there’s one thing this weekend reminded us, it’s that Western North Carolina’s art scene is alive, thriving, and full of energy. That’s exactly why we built WNC Artist Market — to give local artists a bigger stage and help buyers discover the talent right here at home.

We’re just getting started. If you’re an artist or know one, we’d love to hear from you.
